Making money on YouTube is not as hard as you might think. You don’t need to wait for 1,000 subscribers to turn on monetization, and you don’t need 1,000 subscribers to make money on YouTube. Here are some ways that you can monetize your YouTube channel without 1,000 subscribers!
Promoting Affiliate Products
The easiest way to make money with youtube before getting monetized is through affiliate marketing. You can promote affiliate products on youtube and get a commission if someone clicks on one of your links and buys something.
For example, you could make a video about a product and post it on YouTube and then put a link in the description to them. Or you could do a review of a product. Or simply just talk about them in your video. I’ve done all of these and they all work very well in order to gain some extra income.

There are many ways in which you can find affiliate products to promote. One of the best methods is by looking through Amazon. Amazon has many affiliate products that are very good for beginners!
All you have to do is look up your niche and see what people are buying in that niche. For example, in the personal wealth and finance niche that I’m in, I could promote Napoleon Hill’s Book: Think and Grow Rich.
However, one of the problems with promoting Amazon affiliate offers is that they will often provide you with fairly low commission rates.
In order to get higher commission rates, it’s better to look towards other websites selling products or services related to your niche. A great place to try and find affiliate programs is on the CJ Affiliate website.

Additionally, if you have your own product or service you want to promote on your channel, that can also help you earn extra income on YouTube without being monetized.
Some people sell merchandise on Redbubble for example and then link to that merchandise in their video descriptions.

You can get paid by brands and companies that are trying to bring attention to their products or services by creating sponsored videos for them.
Sponsored videos are a great way to make money while using your skills as a content creator. If you’re interested in doing sponsored videos you must be able to create high-quality content that is in line with the product.
The best companies will work with you to produce a great video while also offering you a fair amount of money, but starting off as a small creator, you may not initially get paid quite as much. Regardless, it’s better than no money at all!
The best way to find these opportunities is to reach out to marketing emails on company pages and offer to create long and short-form promotional videos for them in your style.
